For zoologist Charlotte Uhlenbroek, being besieged by ants or dangled from a balloon high above the forest is all in a day's work. In making her new BBC TV series Jungle she had to deal with all this and more as she investigated the extraordinary relationship between the plants and animals - and people - of the rainforest. Using the latest technology, Charlotte was able to explore the tree canopy in Borneo - a landscape hundreds of feet off the ground, full of all kinds of exotic plant and animal life. Among her other challenges were a boat trip through the flooded forest of the Amazon where pink dolphins swim between the trees and a journey through.
